Migrating the temporary staffing sector's reference software without interrupting service

DirectSkills publishes the software that handles invoicing, contracts and timesheets for the temporary staffing sector in France. Its original application ran on ColdFusion, a technology the job market no longer supplies skills for. We have been leading the migration since 2021. Features move across one by one to a modern codebase while the old version keeps serving users. A team of seven developers, led by our Tech Lead, works alongside the CTO.

Overhauling the Paris Police Prefecture staff portal on its existing PHP code

The Fondation Louis Lépine gives staff of the Paris Police Prefecture access to housing, holidays, loans and grants, through a beneficiary portal and a back office that processes applications. We took over the existing PHP code and overhauled the user experience and features. An AI check of supporting documents was added on the task that took up the most of the team's time.

Replacing business software while keeping its history and rules

The Fédération Française de Tir ran its competitions on business software it could no longer develop, yet its sporting rules, registrations and invoicing all depended on it. We ran an in-depth design phase before writing a single line of code: we mapped every need of administrators, clubs and shooters, then turned them into several hundred detailed mock-ups. The new software has been live since 2024, including during the Paris Olympic Games.

Securing and overhauling a sensor manufacturer's monitoring app in six weeks

Ecomesure designs connected environmental monitoring systems, which its clients control from the Ecomplay app. The app had security flaws and user journeys that were hard to follow. Three audits run in parallel by a Tech Lead, a UX/UI Designer and a Product Manager produced a prioritised roadmap, which Galadrim then delivered. Operators now check their stations' readings, receive alerts and export their data, from a version published on both app stores.

Rebuilding a gold specialist's mobile app on its existing business APIs

Or.fr is one of France's leading players in gold and precious metals investment, which it stores on behalf of its clients. Its mobile app was dated and its app store rating suffered, even though the business APIs behind it worked well. We rebuilt only the mobile layer, working with Or.fr's technical teams to connect it to those APIs, without touching the system that runs them.

No. Features move across in increments and both versions run side by side during the transition. Every go-live comes with a rollback plan.

No, it's the most common situation. The audit pieces together how the application really works from the code, the data schema and interviews with users. The documentation we produce stays with you.

We have taken over applications built in ColdFusion and PHP, as well as bespoke ERPs. The work means understanding how the existing system behaves, then porting it step by step, without imposing a target technology before the audit.

We analyse it just as we analyse the code. A clean database can often be kept, even when the application that uses it is rebuilt, and data migration is part of every increment.

Yes. The costing treats each area separately, and several of our clients started with the feature that cost the most to maintain before deciding what to do next.
