Optimising scheduling
for railway works

Every day, Vinci Construction organises thousands of assignments of staff, plant and locomotives to keep its railway works running, under constraints on rest periods, compatibility and sequencing. Galadrim developed a bespoke scheduling engine based on combinatorial optimisation, built into their in-house tool. It automatically proposes optimised schedules, which the teams then sign off.

Orchestrating lifting and crews
on an industrial site

At the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, Groupe Blondel wanted to make better use of its lifting equipment, keep control of package flows and assign its crews day by day. Galadrim developed a business application that brings all these constraints together: an algorithm predicts package volumes, an interface books lifting slots and an assignment engine allocates crews according to business rules. Rebuilding the software that calculates site carbon footprints

The Fédération Nationale des Travaux Publics, France’s national federation of civil engineering contractors, represents 8,000 companies. It wanted to rebuild SEVE-TP, its software for calculating the carbon footprint of construction sites. Galadrim led the complete overhaul of the product, simplifying user journeys and bringing it up to date with current environmental standards. An AI analyses the supporting documents uploaded by companies and checks them against the data entered in the calculation.
